We’re stunned. Flabbergasted even. Since the release, the download count hasn’t stopped running…and we’ve finally hit 1,000,000 downloads. In reality, the download count is probably much higher, as we’ve been counting unique IPs only (to prevent false counts caused by download managers – The NON UNIQUE count is well over 3 million downloads).

New Podcast is out, and this one is really scary. The ideas behind identify theft are well known, but to hear how easy it is too do, and how little can be done to protect yourself, is chilling.

Make sure you understand C/C++, then assembly, then reverse engineering for starters. For bug finding, find out about all the bugs that are being discussed and what they look like so you know what to look for. Then start fuzzing and trying to triage all the crashes. For writing exploits, find some good exploits and see how they work. Then start trying to write some for known vulnerabilities or ones you’ve found. If you’ve got the cash, take Dino and Alex’s training course. My main advice is to get your hands dirty and just jump in and do it.

Mac OS X is like living in a farmhouse in the country with no locks, and Windows is living in a house with bars on the windows in the bad part of town.

The best pentesting course around just got better. I need to clear my plate so I have time to go through this updated course. Can’t wait! If you have not taken PWB before, now would be a great time to do it… Heck, even if you have taken it the updated material and reasonable upgrade costs leaves you with no reason not to do it again.
